Not only do I have the Doodle Bug (which is a musical toy with plug-in-shapes for feet) and the Playmobil car (plus fish crackers) from last night, I also have the "Sort 'n Go Car," plus the Leap Frog "School-Time LeapTop" and "Phonics Desk." So I now get roughly half of the sofa, and the other half is covered with colorful bits of plastic and

Ohhh. I was thinking "Crazy Legs Doodlebug" was a nickname or a description of what he was doing somehow, or a combination of the two. . . shows how much I know about kids and/or toys that aren't for me. ::facepalm::

I imagine it gets old fast, but this is a pretty cute-sounding situation. ^_~

AJ got Crazy Legs for his first birthday and he still plays with it all the frickin' time. "I'm wiggly!"

I think it's particularly hilarious when the batteries are running down and it says "I'm wiggly!" in this deep growly Satanic voice.

I love that too. I was not previously aware that wiggliness could be a menacing quality. At least that particular toy has an off switch. The ones that shout out for attention from the depths of the toybox when you walk by and jostle the floor are even more alarming.

What I hate are the ones that say "good-bye" or something similar after they haven't been played with for a number of minutes. I suppose the point is to re-interest the wee one so they'll play with it more, but there was one that was so annoying in that way (and Pip would get upset eventually) that I ended up removing the batteries.
