I think this needs to be said, from what I've gathered from talking to seniors.
I've been through this before, so I understand. When I was a junior, at least, I was just starting to get really excited about college and curious about the whole thing. Watching my senior friends find out where they were going made me really curious. Of course, I wanted to know where they were going. But now that I'm a senior, even though we appreciate that you are thinking of us, please don't press us too much on the college issue. Trust us, everyone is asking about it. We can't go to a dinner without some well-meaning adult asking "and what are your plans for next year?". Our friends are obsessing about it. It's actually a really tense, horrible time before you figure out what you are going to do. Being interviewed about it by juniors is weird because you guys don't know what we're going through.
I did it last year a bit, but just trust. If we get in....you will know. If we don't...let us seek YOU for comfort. It makes me really tense to walk into a room and hear juniors going "I know Emma applied Here but she hasn't heard yet, Audra applied there, this person got into Georgetown". This isn't a game for us.
We'll tell you what we want you to know. As someone who is at B-CC instead of a place she really wanted to be this year, I can say that it is REALLY HARD having people hounding you about whether you got in when you didn't.
Personally, it's hard enough talking about it with seniors, who can at least relate to the stress.
That being said, if we bring it up, say what you will.
