Journal postings and a tea party?

Mar 19, 2010 17:58

Would anybody be interested in partaking in high tea?

Obviously, there will be tea included, as well as some scones, crumpets, little finger sandwiches. Maybe some cakes if I can convince the galley for some red velvet cakes.

tea time, the case the curious em, can't sit around all day, livejournaling

Any particular reason for this celebration?

It's tea, baby, not a party.

I don't guess you mean tea like I like my tea, do you?

Which one? Sugar with a bit of tea? Or special tea that gets you sleeping?

The first one. You gonna make me some of that with your crumpets and finger sandwiches?

Seriously - you know how many of those little bits of food I'm gonna need to fill me up?

Hmm...I'll make sure there's a pitcher of sweet tea in as well. Maybe some actual sandwiches alongside the little snacking ones.

I mention lately how good a Momma you are? 'Cause you are. The best.

So - no particular reason for the party?

If I wasn't you'd be up the creek without a paddle, baby. I'm the only momma you've got. At least, around here. Still waiting for the day another me shows up.

...Am I having a senior moment and forgetting that there should be a reason for the party?

You are the only Momma I need. Another Emma McCoy might be too much for this ship to handle, don't ya think?

It only makes sense for their to be a reason. Why else have a party?

Who else would post embarrassing pictures of you for your little friends and crewmates to see? Boy, are you implying something?

Anything wrong with having a tea party for the sake of a tea party?

Didn't think I was implying it - thought I was saying it pretty loud and clear.

Nothing wrong with it... if you're six years old.

...You sure there's no residual things like personality traits that stayed with you when you became an adult again?

No, I'm pretty sure I was a jackass before I went little.

I wouldn't say jackass.
