She didn't even bother replying when the doors swooshed open. "And here I thought you liked my sense of humor." she quipped, turning around in her seat. Em waved him over. "Come on, old man, have a seat with me."

He laughed shaking his head. "I do, just not when it involves you getting old and saggy like me." David walked over to her and sat in the chair next to her with a smile. "As if I'd have a seat with anyone else."

"Apparently, didn't get the chance. Maybe this time around, I will." She relaxed against him, laying her head on his shoulder. "Mind telling me what the hell happened? Why suddenly, when I see my husband and child, they're suddenly different men than when I last saw them?" She reached up to caress his face. "Not trying to live in the past...just...put together what happened between then and now."
