starrylizard Describe yourself as a Mary Sue (an idealized to the point of barf version of you) for the world of Stargate Atlantis in approximately 100 words. Then tag your friends!
Dr. Emma Meng has been in the Stargate program for only a few months when she learns of the Atlantis expedition from her supervisor, Dr. Daniel Jackson. As it turns out, she is an ATA gene-carrier. This, combined with her brilliant research intuition and intense study of all things Ancient, leads Dr. Elizabeth Weir to recruit the unassuming but pretty anthropologist.
On Atlantis, Emma translates Ancient, studies new cultures, and helps her new mentor, Dr. Weir, forge alliances throughout the Pegasus Galaxy. Her additional responsibilities include flying Puddlejumpers and turning Ancient stuff on for Dr. Rodney McKay, with whom she exchanges witty banter. She befriends fellow gene-carrier Dr. Carson Beckett. Knowing that Carson and Elizabeth are meant to be together, she plays matchmaker for them.
During her downtime, Dr. Meng enjoys girls’ poker nights and hangs out with colleague / BFF / future soulmate Dr. Corrigan, who looks like
this when not in uniform.
*barfs with everyone* The sad thing is that I had to edit this down and it's still well over a hundred words.
By the way, Ross Hull is indeed the actor who played anthropologist Dr. Corrigan in that one episode back in season 1 (Suspicion, I think). And BFF = Best Friend Forever.
I'll tag anyone who feels like amusing themselves. You may vary the fictional world. :-)
ETA: Youngest Sibling is a Grammar Fanatic Taskmaster who never fails to point out where I should have commas. :-P I get everything right except the commas, it seems. I wouldn't mind so much if it weren't for the fact that she mentions it practically every time I post something. It's a journal entry, not an academic publication. *grouchy now*
