Everyone's got hang-ups. So here's mine for the night!
Flaky Friends.
You're syked to have a nite on the town with your girlfriends until *ring ring*, they call you up and *bam*, you hear the dreaded excuse. Fine if you have a valid reason to not make it - hair's falling out, mom's in the ER or you're drowning in a pool of blood. Otherwise, use your smarts and come up with a excuseable excuse.
Feeling Fat? Well then make sure you eat six hours before party time.
Too broke? That is why you plan ahead, allocate funds and go to places that won't cost you a dime.
Previous other engagements? There is a creation called the daily planner.
Although it's not a sure promise when you agree to plans with a friend, it is similar to a verbal contract. Must I ask for a signature on the dotted line? It just wears thin after a while when the same stunt is pulled. There have been many times where I've been guilty of the bail out, but my policy is be honest about it. Otherwise, I suck it up and adhere to the plans, because it's about sticking to your words and reciprocating for your friends.
So no more playing coordinator for me. I don't want to foot no bill nor be stuck with nothing to do.
