i've been meaning to post this for a while
i guess it was about a weekish ago when i was reading plato for philosophy class and maybe it isn't so funny, but i laughed out loud in the library when i came across this. the speaker is talking about everything and everyone that would be needed to construct a city from the ground up.
"the things i mentioned earlier and the way of life i described won't satisfy some people, it seems, but couches, tables, and other furniture will have to be added, and of course, all sorts of delicacies, perfumed oils, prostitutes, and pastries."
yeah, i could totally go for a whore and a donut too.
