i have the most adorable and wonderful boyfriend in the entire universe.
boys, listen up. the following are instructions for melting the heart of a girl.
1. make plans to have a "belated valentine's day" dinner the weekend after the big day
2. completely downplay the whole holiday and pretend its not a big deal to you
3. scheme with her friends and get them to invite her over on v-day
4. don't call her on v-day
5. don't send her a valentine, flowers, candy etc.
6. let her brew in negative emotion all day because she hasn't heard from you and has witnessed dozens of people delivering flowers/balloons/singing telegrams
7. wait until this negativity has reached its climax
8. when she goes to meet her friends, pop out of nowhere with a dozen pink roses
9. wait until she stops hyperventilating
10. take her out for dinner and hold her hand the whole way there
11. split an entree and eat it off the same plate
12. split dessert and let her eat all the parts she likes and none of the parts she doesn't
13. give her a handmade card that you colored yourself and a cookie with your initials on it
