Emmeline looked herself over, standing in front of the full length mirror in her dormitory. She wasn't sure where Lily was, perhaps in the bathroom, but she knew she wanted to get out. I hear Emm yell from outside.

"Bloody hell, Emm, wait! Perfection takes time!"

Emm had told me to dress up. Having know idea what we are doing, I put on my black skirt that is about 4 inches above my knee.

I pull my shirt over my head. It's a dark red, and has 3/4 length sleeves. It's tight.

I walk out of the room.

"Tada."

I grin at her. I had NO idea she owned a skirt that short!!!

"Screw perfect!!" I yell, rolling my eyes. FINALLy she comes out.

"Bravo!" I giggle, running a hand through my hair. The subtle gesture makes it appear like I haven't brushed my hair at all, even though I spent 15 minutes on it...Gotta love the simple things! We look like an odd pari I'll bet. She definitly looks like a Gryffindor, and I look like a Slytherin. Lovely.

It's about 8:30 right now, I'd imagine...We have a bit of time before curfew, so I gesture to her and we leave. Once we're in the corridor, I start walking towards the owlery. I haven't spent time with Digby in forever... "You've never met Dig, have you?" I ask, leading the way.

I smile, as we're coming up the steps to the owlery.

"You'll love him, he's the sweetest owl ever!!!" I push open the door and the aroma of owl poo hits me instantly. Scrunchng my nose, I press on.

Okay. I knew that Emm was a little crazy, but here's proof.

I follow her in to the owlery. Phew, they really need to clean this place up every once and awhile.

I can see Dig already. He's so distinguishable, it's amazing...He's totally pitch black, but right between his eyes, he has a big white circle. there's two smaller ones slanted above his right eye. If you look closely, it sort of looks like Mickey Mouse...

"Lily, this is Digby!" I say affectionatly, stroking his feathers.

I put my hand out and pet him a little on the head.

I had been tying a letter and parcel to the leg of a rather disgruntled great horned owl when I heard footsteps. Turning around I can see Lily and Emm... completely dressed to the nines. What the hell...? The owl hooted low in its throat and nipped at my ear. With a rather unmanly shriek I jumped backwards only just avoiding falling in owl droppings. the owl waved its leg at me insistantly and I finished tying the small parcel and letter more securely. "um... Hello, ladies..." I said swallowing with an audible click. I'm terribly afraid I'm blushing. "Erm... going somewhere?"

I smile when I see James walk over to us.

"Heya James! How are ya?" I say this in an overly chipper voice, and I begin to giggle. "Me and Emm are just going to flaunt ourselves at the man population in general, see if we can rustle some feathers."

I look at the two of them, forcing back a grin. GOD, they were made for each other!! Just LOOK at them!!! Flriting shamlessly, pretending they're not. Psh, yeah right.

"Yes, actually," I say, winking at him, "Ruffling is our specialty. Don't you know our favorite past time is giving young men their jollies?"

Godess, boys are SO slow.

I roll my eyes, smiling at her. She's so obvious it's almost sickening. I want to shake her by the shoulders, but alas, she won't hear of it.

"Yes, because flaunting ourselves around like tramps is the in thing to do these days, form what I hear."

"Apparantly, it's all the rage. And Emm and I are never ones to pass down a fad." I giggle again.

I bat my eyelashes, smirking at the scenario. James is probably going off his rocker right now, but it's so funny I can't resist.

"Of course not! That would make us outcasts!"

I say the last words in a hushed tone, then giggle at the absurdity.
