Okay. I'm getting my tooth pulled on Thursday. I'm really nervous. That's probably really stupid, and irrational... but I'm still nervous.. ha

yes, i've had five (possibly six) teeth pulled. i've actually lost count. hee. i've always had a problem with my new teeth growing in before my baby teeth fall out, so i've had to get quite a few baby teeth pulled.
don't worry about the procedure. i was nervous the first time, too. all that happens is the dentist will give you a pinch of novocaine, which barely hurts. then your mouth'll go numb, obviously, and all you'll be able to feel during the actual pulling is a little bit of a pinch. and then it's over. the dentist will probably have to make you bite down on a piece of cotton, to stop the bleeding. then your mouth will just be numb for a while and after that, you're all good. it's simple and fast and takes about ten minutes, seriously.
again, don't worry about it. it's nothing to be worried about. at all. =)
Thanks. I'm hearing some "don't worry about it." stories, and I'm hearing some "It sucks. It hurts. It's terrible." stories. Though there are more of the former than the latter. I guess the nervous bit is coming from the fact that I don't really know what to expect.
I had to get 2 teeth taken out so I could get braces a year or so ago. The worst part of it was waiting for the feeling to come back into my mouth after the needle, but apart from that it's all good. Or as good as it gets having teeth pulled out anyway. But really, there's nothing to worry about. You'll be fine! =)
Thank you!! I'm pretty sure that it's all psychological and that when all is said and done, I'll be saying "What? That's it? I got all worked up over nothing." But it's one of those things that I can't help. :( Thanks again!
