Just a thought:
Perhaps my confusion arises when I consider others' definitions of themselves. Why attempt to align myself with a particular political party or religion when those groups or ideas don't relate to me on a basic level. I am a Wight and I try. No matter whatever other opinions I may hold they would never rival my loyalty to my family or my goal of personal improvement. I've always assumed that opinions, ideas, were borne from the person; that they could be traced back to a person and thus define the person. I'm not sure that's not true. I'm not sure where I'm going with this. I'm sure going to read more.
