Last night was upsetting.

I had a paid gig at Cafe Deckuf.

Arrive at 10:00 and I hear the decks skipping like mad. We do some stuff but it doesn't fully fix things.

11:00 I go on. no real skipping so far but The right deck is super fluttery (this means that the pitch wobbles. that is bad) I manage and do what I can but then THE FRIGGIN MOTOR CRAPS OUT. I have the pitch at +8, the speed at 45 and the track is going at about 130bpm. (I spin at 147Bpm). Had to turn it off, start it back up and pray that it worked, when It finaly got back up to speed I had to just do quick cuts which just totaly ruins the flow.

Now people told me they loved it anyway. But I still can't shake my disapointment. When you're paid 8x your normal wage for an hours work you want to put on the best performance possible.
