... from
scinnlaeca (I haven't been posting much lately; too busy/tired/blahblahblah. So you're stuck with memeage. Sorrreeeee!)
(Is it just me, or are lots of people in blargh-heathen month this month?)
WHAT WOULD YOU BE IF YOU WERE...
a month
April, which in this part of the world is cold and crisp and often foggy in the morning, but clear and sunny with a brisk breeze later in the day, with clouds of orange/brown/red leaves cascading knee-deep on to the neighbourhood's streets.
a weekday
Wednesday, because you're just starting to get the hang of things, but Friday is already looming.
a time of day
Depends on how well I am. Ideally, 6 am - bright and crisp and clear and pissing everybody off with early-morning sunshiny goodness. Otherwise, 5pm - too late for work, too early for play, and completely stuck in traffic.
a planet
Pluto, because it's little, far away, and not really a planet after all...
a furniture
I IZ A FURNITURE... Um... A WWII-era mahogany
phone table with upholstered seat and bakelite drawer handle. Kind of handy, really cute, but possibly a little obsolete these days.
a fruit
A fresh fig, for figs are tasty and succulent, and sneakily erotic. Also, I am a Fig Newton of your imagination.
a sin
Pride. *le sigh*
a liquid
2% Hydrogen Peroxide. I look kind of fluffy when applied topically, but really I'm burning away your impurities and I can sting if you're not careful. Also, if you stick around long enough, I'll probably turn your hair white.
a tree
Corylus avellana - Common Hazel.
a flower
Freesia
a type of weather
Sunny and clear but not hot, with a strong crisp breeze
an animal
No clue. I guess I'm a human animal.
a color
Nothing comes to mind... grey, maybe.
an herb
Tarragon! :) (And that's "A Herb" where I come from! Not "An 'erb". *L*)
a voice
Depends on my mood. Kind of
Emma Shapplin, kind of Ella Fitzgerald.
a chemical element
Beats me. I never took chemistry at high school...
a car
A
1948 Bentley Mark VI that has miraculously and seamlessly been converted to a hybrid. :p *Mmmm... Bentley...* *drool*
a food
Hot buttered English muffin ("More tea, Vicar?" "No thanks, but I'd love a bit more crumpet...")
a drink made of alcohol
RRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrum!!!
a place on earth
Online quizzes keep puttin' me in NYC and I like the sound of that, but I think it's kind of hubris to claim an attachment to a place you've never visited. I don't feel much of a link to anywhere in particular I guess.
a number
That's a little abstract for me... I used to like the number 3 when I was little.
a date
February 22nd, 1943
shoes
Silly little wine-red satin heels with bows on the toes a saying
"Rationality is the recognition of the fact that nothing can alter the truth and nothing can take precedence over that act of perceiving it." a song
"Writing It Down", words/lyrics by Mike Bradford, performed by Uncle Kracker
a movie
Right now..? The Philadelphia Story - Katharine Hepburn (Tracy Lord) to Cary Grant (C. K. Dexter Haven): "Oh, Dex - I'm such an unholy mess of a girl..."
a character from a book
Elizabeth Bennett, Pride & Prejudice
a mythological creature
Selkie
a character from anime/manga
Don't know, I've not even looked at manga in the last ten years...
