feeling nice

Jun 29, 2009 13:28

I really have so much I could be doing, but I was so very efficient this morning, and when it comes down to it, a lot of the things on my little post-it note to do today are also things I could be doing tomorrow, especially if I come in early, which I'm going to.

It's really nice to feel like I'm doing a good job here.

It's really nice to be doing a job at all, even.

It's really nice to run errands up to the front office and pass Ames working at the front gate in his little khaki shorts and blue polo shirt, being so nice to all the customers who can be so rude.

It's nice to not be charged $1 for a refill of Diet Coke-- it's nice when the food workers don't charge me, even though I remind them, and then they tell me "I don't think it costs anything if you bring your own cup" and then I let them keep their own rules even if they're made up.

It's nice to get other people hired at jobs you know they'll do well.

It's nice when a headache you woke up with goes away really quickly.

It's nice to have a really adorable picture of you and your fiance next to your computer screen on your desk. Don't believe me? Fine I'll prove it:

It's nice to have the drive to get up and to work not only on time, but early.

It's nice to walk through the park and smell chlorine and want to jump in the pool real bad. But it's nice to just smell the chlorine for now.

It's nice to look forward to meeting more of your someday in-laws.

It's nice to be getting married less than 2 months from now.

It's nice to move soon.
