Strangely, Mr Beebarf and I have had very similar conversations - and we only have two, not the menagerie you have ...
We have asked Colin if he would mind running round the rooms by the skirting boards to dust them to contribute to his keep but he hasn't obliged so far...
Jasper thinks it's his role to check all pillows and duvets for "fitness for purpose" and that we should be grateful - it's not sleeping, it damn hard work!
I think you've got the right idea! The piggins are going to have to work a lot harder to convert Benj to their way of thinking. :)
My pigs now are free-range. It means I have to clean a lot more of the house than I did before, but the adorability of them running around is worth it.
what ALL of the time? - no cage? and they don't eat your house? i reckon you'll come home one day to find a pile of rubble and some very fat piggies in the middle of the devastation burping loudly!
Well, they have their room, of course, but now they can come and go as they please. I have closed the door to the sewing room, because it could be dangerous for them, and the bedroom, because I have books all over the floor, but yeah, they can go everywhere else. So far, this herd doesn't appear to have the inclination to eat the furniture. My last herd did though, and tallied up a bookshelf, several book covers, carpet, a vintage photo, many cords and cables, and part of my leather couch. I wonder why one herd did want to eat the house, and this one doesn't. I am not going to ask them, though, because I don't want to give them any ideas! ;)

i don't blame you
Benj was just showing the neighbour the bits of chair he'd mended when he found two huge new chunks eaten off.
