Renee's Book
I started reading the manuscript for Renee's book last night (she's Joel's sister). I had expected to like it, but not this much! Joel and I are practically fighting over it. I usually enjoy the creative work of people I know, but since I already know Renee's story and some of the things she learned through it, I kind of thought it'd be a "how nice" kind of read. I actually rushed to get ready this morning so I could read it for another half hour before work. And then I came in late.
The book's basically her journey of dealing with pain and grief -- not topics you'd expect in a page turner. But it's very well written, and she describes her feelings and experiences very eloquently. I hope it gets published!
