And we're getting close...
The earliest due date I've been given is next Thursday -- yipe!
Status:
- Have purchased baby gear, but some of it is still on the way. I'd really like the nursing chair to get here before baby, but otherwise, I think we're pretty much set with what we have
- Need to buy a dresser so I can finish organizing baby stuff, and we'll probably rearrange our bedroom a bit to fit things better
- Joel will do the last of the grouting and sealing on the kitchen floor in the next couple days. Then we can move the fridge back in, and we'll have both a kitchen and a diningroom again!
- Midwife comes for the home visit on Monday, to make sure everything is in order. I feel a little bad about the house still being such a work-in-progress, but I don't think Baby will mind :)
- I'd like to find a smaller inflatable pool for laboring. The one I have now is 10' across, which seems excessive
- Need to buy a camera, since ours broke and the phone cams aren't quite what I'd like
- I feel like I'm doing pretty well health/nutrition-wise. Energy is pretty good, as long as I keep my protein and water intake up
- My home office is usable, though by no means done. Need to set-up my networking switch, order a monitor stand and some other odds and ends, bring home a few more things from my cube, maybe get another table/desk, and clear out all the junk
- Starting to hand things off at work. Probably should have started this sooner...
The midwife says that if I feel baby 'drop', that usually means it's about 2 wks until birth-day. But you don't always feel it, and it's not always two weeks -- pesky children, so unpredictable!
