D.GRAY-MAN HAS AN ANIME.

Er, wait. I think I've gotten ahead of myself.
So, you see, I think I've rather stumbled upon a new favorite series. And ohmygodiloveyouALLENWALKER-
-Wait. No. Still ahead of myself.
Sakura-con was this weekend. I went totally geeky on Saturday and cosplayed (crossplayed even) as Nuriko of Fushigi Yuugi, in those traveling clothes of his that he wears when they're going up to that snowy place. Yeah. That outfit. It's suprisingly hard to find any good references for it because most of the time the top's ripped open and he's got claws sticking out of his chest. But that's really not the point here.
The point is that I saw this other cosplayer. And I recognized the character, but I didn't really recognize him, you know? Because I'd never seen the series, but it had enough hype that I could put things together. This was, like, Friday (and that's sorta important, that it was Friday) and I decided then that, well, I'm at a convention aren't I? I should take chances and see if I like this thing or not.
I tried it. I fell in love with it. The next day I spent the rest of my money on 2-6. (I bought 7 a couple days ago, because 6 left off on the nastiest cliffhanger of cliffhangers). Um. I feel geeky and fangirly, but what can I say?
Now. Introducing Allen Walker.
I luff Allen Walker very much. Because he's quirky and sweet and flawed so that when he screws his shit up he seriously screws his shit up (volume 6 cliffhanger? All because of his goddamned heroism and that 'I-can-save-him-I-can-I-can' attitude of his). He's got a cursed eye that can see Akuma and a deformed hand that's actually a weapon. And I don't know why I love him so much, I just do.
D.Gray-man is also the only manga/anime in a while to trip me up with character genders. And they did it twice. Both ways.
It's not my fault that
Kanda looks like
Motoko from Love Hina. I swear. (I don't know why I think they look alike. They just do. There)
I also keep thinking
Road is a boy. I don't know how I can do this when Road wears a skirt every time she is shown full body on screen. I can't explain it.
-deep breath-
Alright. So. Yeah. I think I'm just on a little bit of a D.Gray-man obsession at the moment. 'Scuse me.

In other news, I'm in Tethe'alla in Tales of Symphonia and I'm still not on the second disk. I'm not sure what's going on, but whatever. But I have now made contact with all the my potential party members, I think. And, seriously, Kratos? I hate you now. That is all.
And Lloyd, Zelos? Both of you are idiots.
