(this post is…. 5 months overdue haha omg but posting this up anyway for record’s sake!! and i actually typed all of these the few days after the concert it’s just really bits and pieces from my facebook album and stuff so it’s not really coherent but if you bother to read through them you can actually see the degree of euphoria i was in. . .?? ? yes it was that good!!!!!!!!!!)
270710 broken social scene redux: omg krzi the true post bss high is only hitting now and maybe it’s because I just had the best stay in weekend after camp or maybe its the meds but im stuck at this druggie mode loopin bss I mean its good but NOT NORMAL
presenting to you one of canada’s best exports .. .
i might start to go into a monologue but this is how it works right after every amazing show like the one broken social scene put up you kinda go into auto mode or okay at least for me and i loop their music over the speakers to remind me of the rush and the feeling of being surrounded by too loud music everywhere and this time - this time with so many layers of sounds and beats the guitars the bass the keyboard the trumpet!! the sax!! how do i explain this. but i find so much comfort in hearing music live like this it’s as if i build a nest in my head every show hahhahha

soft lights velvet drapes. soft lights? the view we got from the fifth row. . we entertained the idea of running up front but people were kinda thronging forward once the lights dimmed so we didnt quite get the chance but we were right smack in the middle so all was gooood
looks just like the sun: no sun but.. looked up at the dome instead and it was like having warm light wash all over us haha
look at lisa's mad hair haha it kinda looks like someone dumped two bowls of noodles over her head :o but she did great that night!!

his voice was kinda nasal but love is new had such a funky bassline. so good
i think i got too excited when kevin drew was coming close so my shots of him downstage werent the best agh i was wishing he would climb over to our spot since we were right smack in the middle .. kinda like what erlend did but kevin didnt :( look at the crowd go mad anyway! while drew gets all almighty and god like hah hah ha lead singer complex. props to him anyway he was good and the beer definitely helped
setlist for the night!! i matched it to the one i keyed into my ipod - - they swopped sweetest kill with forced to love, cause = time with art house director. there's looks like just the sun in between lovers' spit and it's all gonna break before they ended it all with meet me in the basement.. time to make your post bss mixes now kids
really really really wished they played: swimmers, pitter patter goes my heart (this song is so underrated), major label debut fast version please, windsurfing nation and pacific theme though i might just have exploded from the greatness of it all. DREAM SETLIST. ... .but the setlist for the show was pretty good though with a balance of new and old songs and it was so much fun clapping along to stars and sons and the bassline for brendan canning's all is love is so damn sweet. the best bit was just being surrounded by so many layers of music the guitars the bass the sax the trumpet. .
ps i also died at kc accidental its one of the best instrumental songs imo

and holy omg i was on my way back when i realised that the band was still hanging around postshow and they were all very obliging so this is my picture with BRENDAN CANNING omg he looks like an aunty but hey folks brendan canning

lisa lobsinger who actually isnt all that shy haha plus i thought she did great with anthems... she was such a nymph!! and huge hair check so that adds to her mystical nymph allure anyways hahahaha only that we know the secret to her hair is lots of hair spray as she sez
