Updating LJ sucks if you don't have internet. Too many things to forget.
In a nutshell, though:
Moving again, from a massive empty house to a small crowded apartment with some clearly younger kids (you can tell because they talk to us like we've done everything ever and are SO amazing and worldly).
Went to Texas for five days. Met all of Aaron's friends. Got my ear fixed twice.* Got stuck in Texas for four more days. Got back into Eugene Friday morning around 4. Went to work at 2PM. My bakery coworker and the front-line overseer are dating (commence work drama in t-minus three months, tops..).
Thinking about going back to school, but I don't know if I have time for that right now. Wish I did, I'm still insatiably curious about a lot of things.
I have an interesting life. I wouldn't call it spectacular or extravagant, but it's interesting.
*my left tragus has been having issues healing (as in it wasn't). It wasn't infected or anything serious, but there'd been a little bump on it for a while that I couldn't fix. I wanted to switch from a captive bead ring to a stud just to lessen the pressure and see if that would help it drain and heal, but we saw Aaron's piercer friend in Texas and I was told that was probably only half the issue.
What he said was I'd actually probably cleaned it TOO well and the outside had healed too fast, so the inside had nowhere to push all the fluids. It created those small pockets. He got rid of them for me, gave me some (free!) new studs, and sent me off. Two days later my ear actually healed OVER the front, and he had to push it through and fix it again and remind me to keep the front pushed out a little bit. Now it's fine, but damn. So much trouble for such a little hole in your ear.
