As sad as it is to say, a friend of mine from home has joined us in this terrible place. Her name is Kanako Miyamae. I hope everyone treats her well.
I would also like to ask everyone of something: though she dislikes to talk of it, Kanako is ridden with an illness. Although I don't understand it entirely, she's prone to nosebleeds, lightheadedness, and awkward behavior. Sometimes it makes her say and do strange things. What I ask is everyone keep an eye on her and please tell me if anything unusual happens concerning her.
I kept a close eye on her at home and worry what may happen to her in a place like this.

With that out of the way, there is another matter I would like to bring up which concerns us all. I've noticed a distinct lack of interest and involvement concerning all of the information and incidents surrounding the Westport mystery, except for a select few taking dangerous matters into their own hands.
Is there a reason for this?
