Live Earth - Photos and Commentary Part 1

Arrived at Giant's stadium in New JERSEY and wondered around awhile. Most of the Live Earth merchandise was selling out before the concert started. Throughout the show, there were "protest banners" flying overhead. Here are the ones I saw:

Before I continue, I need to give a little background info. I am not a rap music fan, nor am I a liberal from a political standpoint, so my reviews will be jaded as such.

First up was Kenna? I had no idea who this was. Didn't really pay attention.

Kevin Bacon introduces KT Tunstall. Her performance was great, although some of her comments between songs were weird - at one point giving advice like "eat more soil, or something".

There were video clips, and clips from performances at the other Live Earth concerts around the world.

Will Ferrell:

Throughout the show, Al Gore popped out for brief appearances. Here are a few:

Back to the music, next up was Taking Back Sunday. They always put on a good show. I've seen them before, and I was watching for the "microphone cord around the neck".

Leo Decaprio introduced the first Al Gore appearance.

Next up was Keith Urban. Alicia Keys joined him for 1 song.

So far, I enjoyed KT and Taking Back Sunday. It's pretty fricken' hot. And I'm in Seat #1 in row 2 of section 128. Being in seat one means that every time someone in the right half of this row wants to get a drink, take a leak, etc. they had to walk in front of me.
