So I've been busier in the last 10 days than I have been since school got out, and it's great. I love to be busy because it keeps me focused.
My brother came and left. That was an adventure in self-control, i.e. my not punching him in face, even though I really wanted to.
My house was built in 1942. It's a great house, but it's really high maintenance. So, we are having a lot of work done. The other day, I woke up and there was a plumber in my house installing a new sink. I was like, "oh, hi!"
My dad has been at my house like almost everyday. He's either had something to give me or wanted to take me to dinner or something. It's great to see him, but it's kinda like too little too late. He also informed me that he'll be visiting me a lot while I'm at Santa Clara. I would be annoyed by that, but I seriously doubt it's going to happen because he's so busy.
Cars. My mom's car needed to have a spark plug replaced or something, so it was at the repair shop for two days. Then, when we got it back, my car was making a weird noise, so we had to take it in. So I still don't have my car, hopefully, I'll get it back tomorrow. Today, my brother's battery died, so yeah, I guess it's that time of year.
I'm trying to see people before they leave for school, but everybody is busy as hell. Last night, I went over to Nikki's about 8:30 because she drove down to USC today. So, she said she I could help her pack. I thought she's have her stuff mostly ready, and we'd just finish it up and load the car. Haha. She hadn't even started packing. This isn't like packing for a week-long vacation, which takes a while, this is seriously packing your life. So that was fun. Then, her mom made her say goodbye to the neighbors, so I was trying to figure out what she wanted to take. It was hilarious, and akward to go through someone else's stuff because their mom tells you to. I didn't mind, it was just akward as hell. So, then, it was about 1:30 a.m. when we finished packing her stuff. Then, we had to wash her car because her parents said she had to wash it before she left. So, we washed her car at 2 in the morning. We still had to transfer all her music from her desk top to her lap top, which wasn't going so well because her desk top sucks. SO, I finally got to sleep around 2:30, and I had to get up at 6 because my dad wanted to take me up to Tahoe to help him move out of his cabin that he's selling.
So, I was tired as fuck today, even after a latte and a vanilla latte.
This is seriously disgusting. On Monday, my mom and I took Pokey for a walk in the park across the street from our house. We saw two dead squirrels, and I thought it was wierd, but not that big of a deal. Gross, though. Then, my mom and my neighbor were talking, and apparently, my neighbor found three dead birds in her front and back yards. So, today, after I got home from Tahoe, I saw a squirrel on our front lawn. It was just lying there, but it wasn't dead because it was still breathing heavily. So, my mom called animal control because she thought it might be from West Nile Virus. The guy came out, and he told us that there have been over 30 dead birds and squirrels recently from West Nile, and that there's no point in testing them anymore. In all likelihood, the dead animals we found had West Nile. In my f-ing front yard! That's disgusting and a little close for comfort.
So, they have been trying to sray our area to kill the mosquitoes, but the wind has been too strong. So, I guess you should stay out of Land Park. I need to get some bug spray or something. I'm not really for this spraying thing, but dead animals in my front yard, and in the park literally across the street from my house, are freaking me out.
I'm tired, so that's all.
