today was long and eventful. started with anthro (magic, witchcraft, and healing) and a movie about the witch hunts in Europe and the US. crazy stuff. then over to religion, where we had a quiz, which wasnt too hard, thank goodness, cause i didnt study. then i ran home because i wore shorts (for band practice) and was freezing in the sub-eighty degree overcast weather we had today. great stuff. so i came home, got some pants, ate some food, did some last minute polyatomic compounds studying/memorizing, and went back to campus for my chem test. it went okay, the people proctoring it (im guessing they were tas but i dont know) were a little mean. and the guy came around to check my ID card twice. i mean, did you not see that i was here the first time? anyway, after that was over, i went over to band practice. let me tell you, dr. bartner sounds so crazy and mean from an outsiders perspective. i can see now why people think he's nuts. anyway, so we did the halftime show, and it was all good and such.
so after practice, the older members went over to see the coliseum and the new seats and stuff. except, we couldnt walk there like normal people, we marched there, past all the pickup soccer games and the organized soccer games and the empty parking lots and through the tunnel to an empty house. it echoed SO MUCH. anyway, so we go over to our new seats, which dont have as good a view. the coliseum looks so short and small. its weird. and i dont like the speaker system. its on a small delay so when you hear it from the speakers, its not on beat, which is super annoying. but the stands make a ton of noise. so we checked it out and played and the song girls danced and the spirit leaders....kind of stood there...and didnt really know what was going on. it was funny/annoying.
after we finished, bartner just let us go, so no marching back to campus (he's nuts, i know) so andrew, gretchen, susan and i decide we are going to go to the top of the coliseum to see what it's like up there. really cool. way to many steps. but great view and awesome all around. so then we walk back to campus and get our stuff and go home. when i get home my roommates are all watching grey's anatomy DVD, so i, naturally, watch too. oh, i am so hooked on that show. it's great. i guess. oh and we drank really terrible wine that someone bought for us. ugh. then i had to do some chemistry lab shtuff, which sucked. and now i'm going to bed.
so, i climbed the coliseum today, what did you do?
