This is Annaliese with her first best girlfriend Halle. Halle's fam just moved here last month. Her mom used to play soccer for BYU and has graciously volunteered to coach a small group of 4 year olds. Their attention span is so nutty. Every 5 minutes someone runs off to the sidelines for a snack break. Annaliese rarely makes it through the hour without losing interest, but she does enjoy being with the kids. After soccer is over the two of them scoop up my blanket I've been sitting on and wrap themselves up inside of it and run all over the field. I was able to get a shot of them actually sitting on it.
This is from last month. You can tell by the bangs. Oh cute bangs, how I miss you. Side note: She was cutting for a homework project today and she grabbed a piece of her long hair, opened the scissors and paused (thankfully) and asked, "Can I cut this?" Heaven help me. I hope we don't revisit hair cutting a third or fourth time.
Not fitting in with the besties theme, just Maddie admiring herself in the mirror. It's a daily thing. Babies love to look at themselves. Maddie update: Her eye teeth have broken through, and she's pooping money. Or maybe it was just a special thing for Kjersti's birthday yesterday. But I've saved the TWO pennies for you Kjersti. It's a Birthday miracle.
I have to post how the pennies were discovered. A glimpse into hanging out with my nutty kids:
Me- Changing Maddie's poopy diaper.
Annaliese- "Maddie, can I see your poop?" (I don't get it?? But she's always curious about it.)
Maddie- "yeah"
Annliese- "There's a penny there!"
Me- "woah...two pennies. Any dollars?"
(Actually the funniest part was Maddie saying, "yeah". She just goes along with anything. At dinner I'll ask, directing it toward Anna, "who wants to say the prayer?" And Maddie always says, "ME!" and raises both hands. Her limited vocabulary is very entertaining.)
