Eavesdropping on the teens in the car right next to us. It was such a nice day, everyone had their windows down. Annaliese was sure to hold up her new baby doll and show them.
Who knew that the baby dolls would be an issue at the house. Maddie got a slew of baby dolls over Christmas. Annaliese got Barbies and Big dolls, but Anna constantly wants Maddie's babies. Solution, yesterday I had to just go buy Annaliese her own baby doll. I took the opportunity after Annaliese filled her good behavior and chore chart with stars. I made the baby doll her prize. (The funny thing about this... Anna had no interest in babies until Maddie showed an interest in babies. So nutty.) Anyway, I thought Maddie would freak out wanting it, but I put her baby doll and Annaliese's side by side and said, "Maddie's Baby. Anna's Baby." I did that a couple times until it sunk in to her cute little brain. I was really surprised with Maddie's reaction. She called it "Nana's Baby" all day and had no interest in taking it. Yay! Hopefully this works and ends the fighting....over the babies at least.
