...Emily's back, tell a friend! Just kidding. So, yes, I am back from the UK, tired and jet-lagged but alive and relatively happy...
I am "watching" the Tour via VeloNews' online updates. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Tyler Hamilton. For those of you who don't know about Tyler, he is in the top 10 overall and is riding the Tour with a broken collarbone he sustained in a crash in the first stage. Do you know how crazy riding a bike with a broken collarbone is? Tyler Hamilton is my hero. Anyway, he's got about 5 minutes on everyone else right now, and I'm hoping he can stay away until the end. Thus, I am distracted.
England was pretty good. I miss my family and just the country in general already. My clothes smell like my grandmother's house, from the washing and being hung out to dry on the clothesline in the sea air. While it would be totally impractical...I would love to move to the UK.
I'll have to tell you more about my trip later, and post pictures and whatnot. I don't know if I have the energy right now.
I'm at work (of course), and it's a total shock to my system. The apartment is in complete disarray, I have bills to pay, emails to write, things to do...I left my room a complete disaster. I could barely walk into it. Joe is away for tonight, so I'm going to try to get my jet-lagged ass to clean it. Isn't this what I always say? I spend two weeks abroad and I'm still telling you about my messy room.
Anyway, I guess I'm going to go do some actual work now. Maybe I'll update properly later. :)
