WILL AND GRACE!
My sister's both have normal names. Liz was named after my grandmother and Bridget was just an Irish name my Mom liked. (Dad will say it was after his great aunt, but, well that's just so he can feel like he mattered, really.) I am the only person I know who was named after a television character. (See Previous Entry.)
Without fail, my mother IMed me this evening and mentioned that Suzanne Pleshette would be on Will & Grace. Last time she was on tv, I was in my room, I remember. And my Mom yells to me from across the house, "Emily, come here!" and I come running in thinking something is wrong. She's in bed watching television. I forget what it was, but Suzanne Pleshette was hosting it. She says, "It's Suzanne Pleshette. Isn't she beautiful?" visual aid.
It's just one of those odd things that only happens in my family.
So I was inexplicably excited tonight. I really do like Will & Grace. Jack cracks me up. He's the second funniest gay guy on tv. (Behind that guy on Home and Garden. Christopher Lowell. He's the gayest person ever.) Anyway, I thought she was really funny as Karen's mom. Certainly did a better job than Rosie playing Elliot's mom.
She was kinda cankerous and mean. Much like myself. But it was 'to be continued' so I'll have to remember to watch next week and find out why Karen hates her. Come on now! How can you hate someone I was named after, huh?
