*yawns*

Oh god, by the time I got home last night, I was an absolute zombified goopile of my former myself >.>

Which sucked, because Tuesday was so wonderful XD  *is still attempting not to be so giggly over it*

Tuesday was fantastic, between the CNA interview (which I thought went pretty well, though I'm still hesitant to say much over it until I either get a callback or a week goes by), and then I had a nice afternoon to relax and wind down from the said interview.  Then I hopped online for a while, and that turned out to be...well, just so much more than I had hoped for.  :)  Made me smile...

>.>  Which hasn't stopped yet; Mr. Elise said I was giggling in my sleep (But I think he was just teasing me, silly boy).

Anyway, so Tuesday rocked (despite the 'versary of Sept 11).  Which, coincidentally... XD  I met my first wonderful boyfriend on the original Sept 11 th (god, I'm old).

Anyway, back to Wednesday XD  *hopes she didn't babble this much at the interview*  So the morning started off a bit rough anyway with my phone ringing at about 8 AM.  (I had only been down for about three).

It's Nana and Tata (my grandmumsie and grandpapi).  They want to know A) if I'm not working today; maybe I'd like to come and visit? and B) how IS the car running?

Stumbling through the kitchen and finally snagging a cup of day-old cold coffee XD, I said that I did have to work today, but that I was off at six and yes, I'd love to come over with Mr. Elise for a visit (because I'm the only grandkid from my mother's herd still in North Carolina; the others took off for hot, humid, hurricaney Florida).

And then came the bad news about the car.

Which, if I haven't told anyone about this XD  Oh god, you'll love it...car ran great for about a week.  Seemed to overheat a bit, which we had to give a temporary fix with water and watching the gague XD

Unfortunately, I might've either slammed the final nail into that car's coffin or it was cracked when I got it.  When we finally started getting the actual radiator coolant in there, it starts pouring from the engine block.

Which yeah, means what I thought when I groaned.  My car's engine blocked is totally fucked and cracked.  Not an easy fix, nor is it a cheap one.  At this point, it'd be cheaper to take the car to a handshake dealer with about a 400 downpayment and just get a different junker to get me from A to B.

Which means for the last week and a half, I've had to either get to work incredibly early (like...six hours before my shift starts which usually has me clocking in a hell of a earlier than I'd wanted to because the manager wants someone to "work" and he feels "bad"), or I have to wait for a long time after I'm done.

As it is tomorrow, one of my friends at work offered to pick me up (which is great; otherwise I would've ended up getting there at 7:15 AM for my shift that starts at 3:30 PM XD)

Anyway, so I just kinda edged around it; told them it was getting looked at in the shop >.>  Tata's going to either feel awful or ashamed of himself, but I'm banking on the first ><

Okay, so with the phone call ended, I stumble back into bed (though a little wired from the coffee shots I took) to try and grab some more sleep (plus it was nice and cold for once, woot!)

Right?  Wrong.

My phone starts ringing again, and it's work.  Now, I didn't have to be in yesterday until noon.  They call me in ASAP XD

So, extra hours.  I needed them anyway.  So I poke Mr. Elise until he groans loudly enough to let me know he's getting up and go into work at nine to work until six (not hugely disappointing...more hours and I get a thirty minute and 2 fifteen minute breaks, which beats a single fifteen by a long shot).

Work was a nightmare.  They had me (on my fourth day of work) there as a price-checker and also the minion of one of the associate managers, who had me switching endcaps and merchandise to clearance all day long XD  Which was okay, since it kept me busy, but I was at the front of the store, clearance is in the back, opposite corner XD

And price-checking...well...let's just say that one of the managers assigned someone else to that because I just couldn't find anything XD  They were less than pleased...but I did get all of the product moved!  XD

So I get home at six-thirty and change (though the Big Lots uniform is mostly whatever you want to wear under an ugly black vest) because I'd spilled my soda all over my shirt XD and go over to the Grandparents' house.

Which resulted in their asking why I'm still wearing long-sleeve shirts, do I want people thinking that I'm covering up needle marks, and is there something that I want to talk about with them?

>.>  Anyway, Mr. Elise to the rescue, he pushes them off of the stupid subject about my stupid arms and gets Tata talking about his political views....god, I've warned him about that...

Meh, serves him right.  Nana and I left them alone to debate; I think Tata wanted to pull out some old-school Mexican-fighting-spirit on him...

At which point Nana turned on the interrogation again ><  But this time, I just kinda gave noncommittal answers.

The last thing I need is for Nana to hop on the phone with my mother and tell her "your next-to-youngest wears long sleeves all the time, I think she's doing drugs" which for the love of god, I'm not hiding needle marks.

Which is the truth XD  People are too specific.

Anyway, it was nine-thirty by the time Mr. Elise wanted to leave XD  Apparently, Tata's a damn good debater.  Hugs, kisses, into the car, and into the house, finally...

So by that time, Mr. Elise wants to have a beer and wants to know if I want one too.  I really thought about it by that point, but I got through half of mine before I finally just collapsed on the couch and completely conked out.

I woke up this morning at Nine AM with a note from Mr. Elise saying he'd get out of work around five and he'd see me then XD

And I'm spent.  God, yesterday was just...blech.  Tuesday...great.  Wednesday...not so great.

So now I'm to Thursday.  *holds up her coffee mug and toasts it to being a great day*

>.>  *pokes people*  And be sure to check out Nighthawkms's Fides.  I've been a bad, bad girl in not doing that myself, but damn if it isn't an excellent story.

*flounces off to read it herself and post other things*
