At the moment, I sorta feel like a country bumpkin...

It doesn't happen often, but I'm not huge on watching "new" TV shows.  I'm not always open to viewing new shows to get into them.  I lucked out on Scrubs, SG-Atlantis and SG-1 (though I am, still, vastly disappointed in the the SG-Atlantis fandom in general).

Anyway, I am getting ready to embark!  In about *checks comp clock* two hours and 46 minutes, I will be starting "The Office".

Odd to be starting a new fandom XD  But I wasn't disappointed with Scrubs at all (though I caught that out of sheer luck; that's what got me back into the fandom scene at all after a horribly scathing review that made me feel like someone had tossed my brain into the event horizon of a black hole).

Still great to look forward to a new fandom.  Currently, the only ones I have are Scrubs (reading and writing) and SG-1, SG-Atlantis and one Diablo story (reading only, though my Diablo RPG story is in the revamps).

Anyway...bumpkin.  *lifts her drinky*  Here's to The Office!  (And the fact I absolutely adore Steve Carell, though I'm probably not spelling his name right).

Oh, and one more thing...

I'm hesitant to mention because I don't want to jinx myself... *knocks on wood, rubs a lucky rabbit's foot, turns around three times and spits, throws salt over her shoulder and makes sure that the jade earrings she wore to the interview are okay*

I interviewed today for a CNA I Training Class (the class would make me a CNA, a Certified Nurse's Aide, and then give me a steady career to build here in my little town of residence).

But anyway, I interviewed for the CNA I Training Class (with an option to train as a CNA II later).  If I get the class, I get a job with the healthcare system here (We're one of a major healthcare system in North Carolina, Blue Ridge Healthcare).  After six months, if I so choose (and I'm not intending to leave), I can go to another "Long-Term-Care Facility".

More or less, IF I get the job/class at all, I'll be working geriatric/mentally defecient clients who are no longer able to care for themselves.  Long hours, a strenuous physical/emotional strain, but rewarding if you're able to reach out.

I'm still hesitant though...I don't know if I got the class; I only got through the initial paper application, followed up by an online survey, finished up by today's interview (3 parts...first with the HR Recruiter/Teacher of the CNA Class, second was a Tour/Ask and Answer phase, and the last part was an interview directed by potential co-workers).

So I've only just now got done with the third and final screening process.  I really hope it went well; my sister was a CNA I for four or five years.

And she's can be a real bitch.  But she also cares a lot about what people think/say about her.  Three years at a gas station with not many employees (who were all female) has taught me better XD

But anyway...*refuses now to do any good luck charms out of the inevitable jinx-fear*

But yeah.  I get to start The Office and I got through my final inteview!  Though I was a bit chatty XD  But most of you know how talkative I can be...

*reads through her entry*

*HEADDESK*
