Before I Forget...
I had a job interview today, at UBS Investment Bank in London. I really hope I get it, but even if I don't, my day was like, totally, cosmically good today!
- Managed to walk around everywhere all day in heels
- Got to the bus stop as the bus was pulling up
- Got to the station right on time, had to wait in a queue for my ticket tho
- Melvin, the guy at the ticket counter was super-nice, he was all like "You make that deal! You close that deal, yeah!" And I was like, actually, I have a job interview, and I'm a bit nervous! :S And he was all, like, "Oh, well, good luck! Make sure you ask a lot of questions. And come back after, yeh?!" And I was like, yeh, sure, thanks man! (Cos I never saw his name till after, plus I was about to miss my 13:24 train!)
- Didn't get lost on the underground, did come out the wrong entrance at Liverpool St Station tho!
- But still made it to the building right on time.
- Quite a relaxed interview, no awkward questions, the interviewer said it was a good interview, and will let me know by next week. (Still has a few more people to see!)
- The only bad thing of the day-my iRiver battery was dead when I pulled it out to listen to on the way home, but it was like, eh, whatev. I kinda knew it was low, shoulda charged it the day b4.
- Hung out at London Bridge for a while, spent money on yummy food for myself & everyone else at home! And got an Iced Caramel Latte from Costa to cool down on the way home.
- Hung out at Forbidden Planet for way too long, listening to the music alternate between Snow Patrol and Linkin Park. Buffy comic won't be there till tomorrow, but the guy did let me have Cult Times for £3.40 instead of £3.99 cos I had like, no change left. Has lots of awesome articles in it, like, SPN-Dean & VM-Logan :) Wish I could scan and post them in the comms, but lack a scanner!
Now, I just need to sit and wait for a week, to see if I got the job or not, hopefully I do get it, but if not, there are still other options.
I might post about my Reuters interview soon as well, before I totally forget about that one. Didn't get the job though. Obviously.
