(no subject)
Today was the first day of crew, and its wicked intense. The boathouse is about a mile away, so we had to run there. I'm not exactly the worlds best runner, so it was a stretch for me. Then we took the swim test, which was swim to one end of the pond and back, also something Im not used to doing. And all the while the sun was roasting us. Then we learned how to row and stuff. I'm pretty excited, and Im going to get in reeeaaally good shape.
Ancient Greece is also going great. We had a heated discussion today about what is truth. Its so interesting to think about it. How do you know what the real truth is? You cant nccessarily say that what you personally believe is true, because thats just your opinion, and opinions change- truth doesnt.
We had a square dance last night. It was really fun...not something most people would want to do for fun, but the people here are do things...a little differently.
They also started an a capella group here today. Fun.
Other than that, I still get tons of homework..we're finishing the Odyssey this week, and my Writing workshop teacher likes to give homework.
School means "free time" in Greek. HA! Imagine that.
