(no subject)
i am increasingly appreciating the maxim of 'ignorance is bliss'. discussing the alienation of our species being was not how i wanted to start out my classes for the week, and not at 8:30 in the morning.
i'm hooked on coincidences right now. last time i was in DC, i kept seeing silver VW bugs - i took note because i HATE THE WITH THE FIRE OF A THOUSANDS SUNS. i don't mean, like, on the average day, i see a lot of red cars. i mean, it seemed everytime i looked at an odd time, like out the livingroom window, or coming up from the metro, there i'd see one.
and last saturday, i ran into this man at the market (almost literally). i went home to drop off my market stuff and went superstore, and there he was again! we made eye contact both times, and i think the second time, we both sort of did a double take. fredericton's a small town, i grant you, but this still never happens to me. so i keep thinking, okay, if such and such a thing happens ONE MORE TIME, it's not just coincidence...so far, everything has just been coincidence. but i am yet hopeful. worse than that, I'M OBSSESSED.
i gave up drinking for lent. i don't even want to drink anymore, it's just irritating cause everyone else is still walking around drunk half the week it seems. i am not entertained.
