I'm feeling very accomplished today already.
So far I have:
taken 6 lawn and leaf bags full of winter clothes to my favorite charity for donation
VOTED (wooo hooo!)
Attended a class
Took a practice MPRE exam
Now all I have to do is attend another class and then I get to hang out with friends at an election party. This election is a good 300% more exciting than in 2004 and I anticipate a much for satisfying outcome. Voting was a pretty good experience. In 2004 I went to my polling place in Virginia around 7pm and was approached by a Bush supporter who handed me a "sample ballot" i.e. trying to trick me to vote for all Republicans. I contend to this day that she was too close to the door of the polling place, but did not have a ruler on me at the time to prove it. This morning was better by far because the high school where I voted was clear of all protests, etc and people could just feel free to come in, line up, etc and cast their vote. The lines weren't long and it was very low pressure. Kudos to everyone volunteering at McKinley Vocational H.S. this morning!
Happy Election Day Everyone!
