VP debate
My post isn't nearly as cool as Josh's, but still....
I blocked out my evening for this and I'm pretty pleased with the entertainment value. However, my blood didn't boil quite as often as I had hoped (sometimes it feels good to get really pissed off and scream at the TV). The bit about gay marriage and watching Palin swallow 4 or 5 times to keep the vomit down after saying that gay people deserve any rights as human beings did the trick for about 5 minutes though.....on that note I'm not sure if everyone heard Palin when she was still Mayor of Wasilla say something to the effect of "Don't ever refer to gay relationships as 'families' in front of me." Yeah, that's classy.
Anyway, I think the jury is in- Sarah Palin is a well-strung puppet, but it's still clear that she doesn't understand federal and international topics. She really went out of her way to stick to certain talking points, again. I really love how for about 5 questions in a row Palin didn't actually answer the questions asked. She kept going back to "energy" and "our troops" and such. I will give her that she managed to regurgitate answers on more than 3 topics, unlike in previous interviews.
I was a little annoyed that Biden never brought up the fact that drilling ANWR would only fuel the USA for about 6 months at our current rate of consumption.
In all I think Biden did a nice job of handing Palin's ass to her without looking like a chauvinist dickhead.
