Hop a Plane
Today I'm flying to Seattle for a family gathering, aka step-grandmother's 50th birthday party in a Bavarian village (no, really). I guess I'm working till about 3:30, then meeting Leigh and home and heading to the airport. Unfortunately I'm traveling solo, which is never fun, and have tons of homework to do on the plane, also not fun. The last time I tried to work on an airplane I was shocked at how few papers I could fit on those little tray tables. I ended up crossing my legs very carefully and very snugly to give me more surface area to work on (meaning I balanced a folder on one knee, a book on the tray table, and a legal pad on the other knee). When it came time to land all my stuff fell on the floor. Anyway, that's how I'm spending my evening.
I fly out at 7pm EST and land at 11pm PST. When I made the reservations for some reason I failed to realize that this meant I'd land at about 2am EST. This is going to be a very long day.....
