This weekend started out pretty well. Leigh and I saw Hairspray at the $3.50 movie theater (up from $3 last year, boo!). The movie was much cuter than I had thought. I was really impressed with the costuming and the cast. John Travolta as Mrs. Turnblad was really great. I actually forgot a few times who was playing that part.
Saturday I was fairly productive. I cleaned the kitchen and got a lot done on one of my seminar papers. My primary goal for the weekend was to finish a really well planned outline for that paper. The only thing I didn't do was get all of my citations together. I decided to do that as I go because page numbers, etc change depending on precisely what I decide to say. So now I'm pledging to work on the paper throughout the week so I get it done early. However, after reading Josh's post I feel like I should re-examine my sources for my other seminar paper and make sure I'm coming up with something remotely original, since I kinda want to publish soon.
Leigh and I started South Beach (again) on Saturday, so we went to Target and got some sugar free snacks. Diet Dr. Pepper is going to be my salvation. Sunday I spent doing a little more homework and ignoring other tasks. I also came to the conclusion that Leigh watches too much football on the weekends. It kinda drives me nuts. It could only be worse if it was baseball on TV, a sport which, in my opinion, is only good for beer, hotdogs, and ballpark music.
