ramble, ramble, ramble.

Today I got to work at 7:00am. I was beyond productive. I got a letter-sized, typed to-do list nearly all crossed off. I went to lunch, I felt good about things, I got lots of materials approved and shipped a bunch of things out to be printed. I started new projects. I designed a girl scout patch. I did emails, videos, animations, DVDs and newsletters. Posters, flyers and marquees were approved, printed and, in one case, delivered.

I was at work until 10:00 tonight. At that point, I was pretty spent. I filled out my timesheet (another 70+ hour week), logged out, and walked through the theater on my way to the garage to get my car.

It was a lovely night. Then I stopped in my tracks. The jumbotron that I update and service hangs on the corner of the garage I was parked in today. And when I rounded the corner to see it, all I saw was a blank screen.

It's an active weekend in the District; Symphony, Fiddler on the Roof, Cabarets.... I couldn't have a dead board.

I went back to work. I fixed it. And I somehow managed to beat the Fiddler traffic out of the city.

I'm home, now, with another to-do list for the weekend.

I'm glad I like my job. At least I think I like my job. I hope I like my job. Otherwise I'd take the bridge.

SIGH.
