You have THE BEST taste in music, and I so respect how steadfast you are in things that you believe in and how easily you call bullshit on things you don't (in the best way possible). I can't wait to do something spectator sporty with you in the (hopefully near) future. And I promise that if you ever come to Detroit I will drive you by Jack White's childhood home.
That would be awesome to see! Did you ever see the photos of Jack's old Detroit home he put up for sale when he moved to Nashville? The floors were all red, black, and/or white. Committing to a theme there, Jack.
HA! No, I haven't seen that! There's another house in a neighborhood that borders where he grew up that's painted BRIGHT red with white trim, and I always think of it as The White Stripes House. That Jack, he's something. ;)
Laura, I am SO glad we got to spend some time together this winter and that you were brave enough to come to Chicago in February. I love that you are unapologetic about your opinions, and I love your fierce sports loyalties (even when that means we are temporary hockey enemies). You are whip-smart and I love your sense of humor, and I am so jealous of the amazing travels you have had recently!
Laura you are awesome. I loved meeting you earlier this year and I've loved getting to know you better since then. You're one of my favorite sports enthusiasts (Jules and amber take top spots just due to their complete insanity) and we feel very similarly about what time concerts should end. You're a wonderful unicorn.
I was just thinking the other day that you left us before the finale party and how sad I was about that. I think we have the beginning of a beautiful friendship, despite your sports enthusiasm, or rather my lack of it.
I'm so glad I got to spend so much time with you at Parkscon on our awesome car rides to and from the city, because even though you left early, I still feel like you were there the whole time! You're an awesome person and I'm so glad I get to chat with you every day!
Thank you! I still wish I could have stayed the whole time. And I thought I had flown a ways to Parkscon--I don't know how you stayed awake as long as I did.
hey boo! i love you for you: your crazemazing vacation stories, your love of baseball and hockey (even though you support the wrong teams), and your neverending support for all of us.
i'm SO GLAD i got to meet you earlier this year. i WILL find you a red lipstick if your heart so desires. possibly start with something sheerer because i have a feeling you'd look good in brick-based reds.
next time you're at target pick up the sonia kashuk velvety matte lip crayon in rosey nude. or if you have a walmart, try flower's Kiss Stick High Shine Lip Color in Berry Bloom. you can also try loreal colour riche in true red -- that's similar to my all time favorite color+ it is all time favorite formula.
also, if you're nervous about wearing such a vibrant color, put a little on the center of your lip from the tube and then kind of blot it out with your fingers.

Brick-based, I can maybe see that. Brighter reds just look weird with my coloring.
