Jules, you are so lovely and interesting. Because of you I have learned so much about Detroit, Canada, fake France, fake Tiffany, how to smuggle Kinder eggs, and cheesy potatoes. I'm sorry that we have to be enemies during the hockey playoffs, but now that it's summer again we are free to love each other. I routinely forget that I've known you for a really short amount of time, but luckily we have made up for a lot of that with the Facebook thread that spiraled from "hey sorry FB is a creeper" to a beautiful beacon of comfort throughout my day. You are wonderful and please know you are always welcome in Chicago--I know Mel will want to steal you next time you visit, so we'll fight over you, k? Thank you for your constant words of support. I am so glad you are in my life!
I'm so glad I could educate you on that wide variety of extremely important topics. ;) And yes, please feel free to throwdown with Mel over me, but I think she'll be willing to share.
I'm looking forward to a Blackhawks/Wings showdown next season. Perhaps a road trip to either city to watch them play may be in order? <3
You are so wonderful. You're so fun and hilarious but also very encouraging and you love things very passionately. I've learned so much about Canada and Detroit from you and I can't wait to see them both because you have made me so interested in them. You're just the coolest.
I'm going to end of saying kindred spirit to a lot of ladies in this love thread, but YOU JUST ARE! I'm so glad we know each other and got to spend time in the MINIATURES and share our love of Anne Shirley. Hopefully, in the future, we can have amazing discussions about Canada (PEI, in particular) and communism.
Jules, I can't believe I've only known you for such a relatively short period of time. You are hilarious and sweet and tough and a real joy to be around. I cannot wait for your inevitable trip to Dublin when we will get disgracefully trashed and encourage each other to make even more terrible life decisions. Detroit was never on my must-visit list, but it definitely is now.
I love you even though you like canada more than america, which confuses the shit out of me. Thank you for being there to live vicariously through. I love listening to your adventures, like Windsor's Own Tiffany, the story of the Journey to Fake France and the return voyage, or your sojourn to the 2010 vancouver olympics.
i love how you love the same thigns i love, though in different ways. I cannot believe I've only known you for like, six months. That's bonkers.
Also i love you for showing me that detroit is not a murderous place like everyone told me. It's a really fascinating city.
JULES I can't believe we only met in February, because it feels like you've been a force for AWESOME in my life for ages and ages. I love how wholeheartedly you jump into the things you love, and how wisely you prioritize friends, waffles, and work.
Also, you believe in Boyfriend, and we are forever grateful for the awesome Detroit fridge magnet.

You are my favorite not-Canadian Canadian. Technically you are the only non-Canadian Canadian I know, but you would still be my favorite.
