(no subject)
after having gotten (what a horrid grammatical construction) the curtain linings all ready to go up in the living room*, i discovered that they were in fact too small so all my unpicking and washing to get them ready to go up was in fact in vain. i should have checked before i started.
i also spent several hours today procuring forms to perhaps entitle me to job seekers allowance, as i am after all seeking a job. i am thoroughly disheartened at the sheer volume of forms i have to fill in, it make me wonder why anyone thinks the dole is a cushy option as i would rather be actually working than filling in forms. (anyone who knows me well will know my hatred [and we all know hate stems from fear] of forms.) obviously if i happened to get a job that involved filling in forms i would be a little stuck, but lets not concern ourselves with that sort of thing for now.
i then decided that after all that toil i deserved a drink and some biscuits and a few episodes of angel. i am now well into season three).
helena and i are now searching for a picture for the next razz poster. the theme is "beach party". we plan to have inflatables and ice pops and sunglasses and beach towels although i suspect we shall have to draw the line at real sand, and i shall probably not be wearing a swimsuit.
*i am unsure what to call the communal room in my house. when we were growing up, we had a "sitting room" and a "dining room". we certainly did not have a "lounge" as 'only airports have those'. the room in my current house is both a "sitting" and a "dining" room, although i fear to call it a "sitting room" makes it sound a little grander than it is (although it is looking pretty grand since i finished of the paintwork and have been doing some tidying). i wonder if perhaps "living room" is perhaps a suitable term. but i am still undecided.
