Avoid petty laws and useless officials.

It's been forever and a day since I've updated this journal. Some things have happened since then, including but not limited to me graduating, taking a three week road trip with catatonic1242, and starting a new job. Woo. At least two of those things were exciting. I should probably update my user info, too. Huh.

It's really quite strange that even after six weeks have passed, I still kind of miss living out of a suitcase, staying at questionable motels, and riding in the car all day everyday. Can't I find a job that lets me do that for a living?

In somewhat related news, Alton Brown is starting a new show this summer wherein he drives across America on a motorcycle looking for good food. I am intrigued by everything in that sentence.

I fear I've been listening to too much U2 these days and neglecting the Gallagher brothers. But I have at least discovered that Achtung Baby is officially my second favorite U2 album to date. The first is How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb. I love, love, love every song on that album.

My parents are going to Orlando to visit my sisters on Labor Day weekend. I, alas, cannot go because that's Dragon*Con weekend. Pity. By the way, I cannot wait for D*C omg, but I am a little scared of the pile of action figures catatonic1242 is going to bring home and make me hang in the living room.

Rockstar:Supernova started the other week, but I haven't yet identified anybody worth fangirling.

Speaking of fangirling, here are more pictures of the Adventures of the Roaming Elwood.

For some reason, Cumming was calling out to dirty little 12 year old Elwood.

And after that, he decided to visit Babyland General. Don't worry, there are not wee Elwoods on the way. Well, not any more wee Elwoods on the way. I'm also not sure why this is so blurry, other than the fact that I suck at taking pictures, especially quickly and at night, which is odd because that's when a lot of these Elwood pictures seem to be taken.

At the Great Gay Georgia Marketplace. Not really what he thought it was...

Big Gay Town Hall:

And at the weird ass Georgia Guidestones. Is it disrespectful to take a picture of a painting of Elijah Wood at a pseudo-spiritual monument erected in rural Georgia?
