After the last Harry Potter book came out, there's been a flood of information from interviews with JK Rowling about what has happened to the surviving characters. Now that the final book has been released, JK Rowling is only too happy to share details that she had to keep hidden when the book (and previous books) were still WIPs. This is, of course, incredible since the last book gives a lot of information but does not reveal everything, and it seems like JK Rowling has ended a bond of secrecy between herself and the books. Even better, she promises to write a Harry Potter encyclopedia giving information about smaller characters she hadn't had a chance to give in the books. She says that this will not be out right away, and may not cover everything every fan has ever wanted to know (ie the middle names of Harry's great great grandparents, to give the interview example), but it will be detailed.

It's almost as good as getting an eighth book. I hope it's published by the time the final movie comes out, which is supposed to be sometime in 2010.
