Laptop <3
I bought a new laptop for law school. After much deliberating, I chose to go with a Lenovo (IBM). Although it's not as pretty as a mac, it's comparable spec wise and only cost $700 to the mac's 1400+. Initially I regretted my choice. I had my first real interaction with Vista when this computer arrived. Now I've heard that Vista is much better. Unfortunately, in this laptop's case, it was not. For some reason they just didn't get along. After heeding the advice of several people, I decided to download Windows 7. The difference is amazing. Previously I would get a 5 minute black screen on login, frequent wireless disconnects, random resolution changes, and overall slowness. After installing Windows 7 all of these problems went away. My drivers were all installed without me doing a thing. No more black screen, slowness, etc. I love it. Everyone running Windows should download Windows 7. It's so worth it. So pretty. I don't care if they ripped off the mac. I love it.
