So... 60 years ago Auswitz was liberated. Fortunately I wasn't in school so I missed really disgusting document movies about concentration camps. Our history teacher Chucky than announced we'll go to Auswitz. Now, I'm NOT a spoilled bratty American, but I really don't wanna go. I don't like concentration camps and those naturalistic photos and expositions, I don't watch war movies ( the brutal ones, like All Quiet at Western Front ), I don't like going to countries like Bosnia ( yes, parent's idea !!! ), I don't understand what are tourists searching on Ground Zero. And really, I cannot imagine myself stomping there in my boots, looking at the exposition jewish community prepared and trying to look concerned. I am, of course I am, but I don't see any piety on it. And, I just cannot take it. Maybe there's a problem in me.
10 people I truly admire:
1. Sigmund Freud- sexuality is not a curse word, it's a something which influences your life. Besides traumas from your childhood. He came with revolution theory in psychology... where would we be today without him ?
2. Suzanne Vega- ahhh, her songs make me cry, make me feel creepy, happy. AND I always long of my dear NYC hearing "Headshots". And Vigil was the best 9-11 dedication, which sadly can be understand only by New Yorkers. Hmm, maybe only by those who hang around the village or view GZ from their appartments. Or those who have been in NYC on that faithful day.
anyways, Suzi is very misunderstood and many haven't found her magic yet.
3. Leonard Cohen- Dear Heather is nice little album. He doesn't need huge effect to speak. Extra point for "On that day" and "Undertow"
4. George Orwel- you can turn paranoia and conspiracy theorism into book which will be read all over the world.
5. George Washington- okay, I'm an American, so sue me!!! He estabilished one great nation.
6. Vaclav Havel- would you risk being prisoned for your oppinions ? Plus he proves right wing can be also intelectual. And however controversal he might be... 'bout 10 Nobel Peace Prize Nominations, some other awards and name which carries respect, that's him. And yes, Absurd Drama. Already read Garden Party ?
7. Madonna- well, she's The Artist. what else is there to say. I like her acid rock, oh- right.
8. Herriot- the vet know writes about cats:))) His books are so cute:)
9. Aneta Langerova- first Czech Pop Idol. She's pop rock chick, she sings only live and she doesn't want to become part of still waters of pop culture.
10. my Czech teacher. Really, she knows every single book ever written.
TOP 10 peole I truly hate
1. George. W.- really, I see why people hate America. His Iraq/n has weapons of mass destruction, God Bless America is getting really pathetic.
2. Condoleeza Rice- cannot think about G.W. without thinking about this woman. Seriously, when she has attitute problems she should see shrink like "normal" people do, not push herself into politics.
3. Osama bin Laden- just proves Freud's theory. Bad childhood and messed up sexuality leads to disaster. And it's not an appologise, nor is growing up in country where blowing up people you hate is normal.
4. Saddam Hussein- he's a rat. Seriously. Though no WMD were found, he commited the worst war crimes on his own people.
5. Fidel Castro- he's pathetic and his Spannish is very lousy. But maybe it's the Cubanian accent. But I doubt it because I know few Cubans and THEIR Spannish is alright.
6. Almeera- don't even know her last name and I don't care. Not only she's too much into Hamas, but she's incredibly mean to people. Somebody should send her to Guantanamo, because she clearly supports terrorism. Or isn't saying that "9-11 was GREATEST muslim action ever" or "Madrid sucks anyways, we need some more actions, LA would be more fun" etc. supporting of terrorism ? I think it is.
7. Communists. Wake up.
8. Japanese tourists. They're so into disasters and they think that picture of them and Ground Zero in NYC/ flooded Prague or Dressden or whatever/ graveyard of any kind/ dead bodies of tsunami victims /anything horrid is the coolest thing they can get.
9. Chucky, my history teacher- not only she speaks kind of English nobody else knows, but she also thinks that it's WICKED to be dating. We're 18 for crying our loud !!! She keeps convincing us we're stupid, which isn't right from psychological point of view. But I doubt she knows a thing about psychology.
10. fashion designers and shop assistents who think that girls/woman with size more than 10 are something which does not have right for righfull existence.
