books, and the luxury of being unemployed
Okay, I read The Kite Runner today. I actually read maybe two chapters last night before bed, but then picked it up this morning and read it all day till I finished it a few hours ago.
I don't know if I'd recommend it, though. Everything that happens in it is bad, brutal and depressing. It also started going pretty over the top at the end.
Tomorrow I'm heading to the library for some audio books for the ride to the Soo, and to take Sam up on his suggestion that I try reading Cormac McCarthy.
