I went with my sister and niece to the release of HP book six, and let me tell you -- it was effing crazy. A lot of people in a small(ish) place in AZ makes for a nasty interior atmosphere; I think it might have been cooler outside, which is saying something. It was very disorganized, so when it came time to form lines and move towards the registers, everyone just milled around the front and cut in front of each other. It got pretty ridiculous.

Kenz had fun, though - they gave out Harry Potter glasses (she wore them all night, even when we got home) and lightening bolt tattoos. She made a wand in the back of the store, we took some pictures and got the promo posters.

And the book ... I started around 1:30ish am and read until 5:30, then got up at noon and read until 5:30ish pm, when I finished it. Wow. That's all I have to say at this point. I can't say too much more because no one else I know has finished it and I don't want to spoil it. On Saturday after I finished I walked around in a daze, feeling rather depressed and discomfited. Then I re-read the climax of the book, seeking more detail and possible answers. I was beating my brains out wanting to talk to somebody about it, that really sucked. At work yesterday I came on here and found hpbook6, which is a comm started for those of us that have finished the book, so we can discuss it without fear of spoiling it for others. That has made me feel slightly better. *sigh*

I am at work now, really loathing the thought of getting on the phones. I need a new job.
