Lost Luau Drabbles (Jack, Sawyer, Jack/Sawyer, Sun)

For Queen gottalovev: First Time (Jack)

You open your eyes, and all you see is trees and sky. You take an inventory, trying to figure out what hurts, what's broken from the fall, but the adrenaline singing through your blood is blocking any pain you should be feeling.

Something's rustling nearby, and your fight or flight response kicks in, jolting you upright. It's a dog, a yellow lab, and for a minute you think you'd passed out in the city park, the crash just a dream, before you start to smell the burning and hear the screams in the distance.

For Queen elise_509: Sawyer

Sawyer smokes and reads and stays out of the way. After the fiasco with the inhalers, Sawyer doesn't want anything to do with the rest of them, and the rest of them certainly want nothing to do with him.

Except for Jack. The doc looks at Sawyer like he could be something more, like he believes in his potential as a human being or some shit like that. Sawyer's long ago given up on himself in that regard.

But Jack keeps pestering him, keeps on visiting and talking, leaving Sawyer to wonder what the man could possibly see in him.

For Queen siluria: Bad Weather (Jack/Sawyer)

From his spot on the beach, Sawyer likes to watch the sheets of rain approaching from across the water, advancing with a certainty that the others don't notice until they're soaking wet.

He watches Jack the same way. The doctor is all calm and efficient, but Sawyer knows it's just a matter of time before he breaks and lets loose on all of them.

The anger and frustration comes pouring down when Boone dies. Sawyer stands by silently and isn't surprised when Jack shows up at his tent in the middle of the night, bruising Sawyer's mouth with his own.

For Queen isis2015: Sun

She left Ji Yeon with her mother without a second thought or a glance back.

It's not that Sun doesn't love her daughter. It's that she loves her so much that it breaks Sun's heart that her little girl is growing up without a father, without Jin, who had loved them both so much.

Sun sees the wedding ring and, for the first time since climbing on that helicopter three years ago, feels hope. Jin is still alive somewhere, sometime.

Sun needs to put her family back together. Ji Yeon cannot grow up thinking all men are like her grandfather.
