So I weighed myself, and I must be really happy or really nervous because I have gained 15 pounds since January. I eat when I'm happy, and am really lazy (Woooo boy, am I lazy) and I don't hate exercise, but there are a lot of things I like doing way more than exercising.
Especially drinking alcohol and eating chicken fingers.
Anyway, I'm 28 and my metabolism is slipping. So I'm back on My Fitness Pal, and I have worked out every day except yesterday this week, and twice in the morning! I walked a couple miles with Marci on Sunday and Monday, we did morning yoga on Tuesday, then I ran Tuesday night (in the rain, through the words. Hardcore.) I skipped Wednesday, did spinning this morning, and just went on a bike ride.
I hate spinning more than I have ever hated any exercise ever. There were a couple points when I was clearly slacking, and the instructor said, "I can tell if you're not going 100 RPMs!" in my general direction. I wanted to explain that I have been a mediocre athlete all my life, and I'm used to a coach's disdain (besides...I'm more interested in having the most fun.)
Anyway, I finished, and it did feel really good. But after work, and a bid-ness meeting with my co-MFCEO, I came home and my favorite friend Pete was in my driveway on his bike and asked if I wanted to go ride bikes!
I have a mountain bike. I have a mountain bike because I like mountain bike riding. Or the one time I did it, anyway. So it's not very hip, but night riding with Pete and his buddy Nathan was really great.
It's so warm and it smells like summer.
