My Blessed Birthday
Monday was my 37th birthday. Is that possible? I don't feel 37.
I spent my birthday at home. I've been sick since last Saturday with asthma. I became spectacularly ill watching Battlestar Galactica on Saturday night and threw up about 6 times. I haven't done that in a few years. I've been sick since and am actually off work the rest of the week.
However, my birthday was still special. Nick gave me a few gifts on Sunday night. Originally we were supposed to go out and eat on Sunday. He gave me a button with 11-11-11 on it, a tee shirt that has a chick on it that says "Chick with Brains," and an Adipose. an Adipose is a creature on Doctor Who that is so adorable. It's actually fat, but it's cute! My Adipose has been keeping me company. On Monday Nick gave me Callista Gingrich's children's book Sweet Land of Liberty which mentions God in several places! He also got me Betsey Johnson camera earrings.
On Facebook over 90 people wished me Happy Birthday! I'm so blessed to have great family and friends. I even heard from my cousins!
Hopefully this weekend we will go to dinner. I like going to Islands as a treat. We have some other plans too, but it will depend on how I'm feeling.

Please keep my lovebird Tweety in your thoughts. She is at the vet recovering from surgery...Nick will pick her up tonight. I will update you with what happened then.
